    About the Project

Solen is Michelin-starred chef duo Adam Dahlberg and Albin Wessman's new gastronomic destination in Hus 26 in Stockholm's Slakthusområde — a former meatpacking district being transformed into a hub for food and culture. Housed in a listed industrial building with vaulted walls and heavy structural detail, the restaurant is designed by Specific Generic around a solar-system theme, with inspiration drawn from sun-drenched food capitals such as Tel Aviv, Santa Fe, Oaxaca and Naples. Swedish Project held full responsibility for project and program management across the assignment — leading the delivery from early planning through procurement, construction and handover. The work included budget and schedule ownership, tendering and contracting of trades and specialist suppliers, coordination of the industrial kitchen fit-out, site supervision and quality control on bespoke joinery and finishes. A central part of the role was continuous coordination with the landlord Atrium Ljungberg and other stakeholders — the design team, kitchen consultants, authorities and neighbouring tenants in Hus 26 — aligning technical requirements, permits and heritage constraints of the industrial building with the ambitions of the design and the operational needs of the restaurant. The result is a characterful dining environment where raw industrial structure meets warm, tactile craftsmanship, delivered with Swedish quality and precision.
