General Contractor in Oslo — Swedish Project

    General Contractor in Oslo

Full site responsibility, from strip-out to opening

    All General Contractor services

We take full site responsibility in Oslo under the Norwegian standard contracts NS 8405 or NS 8407: one contract covering demolition, building work, regulated installations, joinery installation, finishes, overtakelse and defect closure.

Norwegian sites are heavily regulated on personnel and safety. Every worker carries a valid HMS card, subcontractors are checked for approvals and registration before mobilisation, and safety coordination is documented rather than assumed.

Because the cost of labour is high, we plan for fewer people doing better-sequenced work: prefabricated joinery, decisions locked before mobilisation and a finishing period that is protected instead of compressed.

    Local conditions in Oslo

    NS 8405 and NS 8407

The Norwegian standard forms for build-only and design-and-build. They set strict, short notification deadlines for variations and claims that both parties must respect.

    HMS-kort

All site personnel must carry valid HMS cards, and we verify registration and approvals for every subcontractor before anyone starts.

    Labour cost and sequencing

High hourly rates reward prefabrication and tight sequencing. Rework is far more expensive here than a longer planning stage.

    Trading-hour restrictions

Central properties and shopping centres restrict noisy work and deliveries to evenings and nights, which we price into the tender.

    Winter logistics

Snow, ice and darkness affect deliveries, external works and installation windows from November to March.

    Overtakelse

The formal takeover inspection starts the warranty period. Documentation, testing and self-inspection records are prepared before the date.

    A Day's March
Stockholm, Oslo & London · Retail

    A Day's March

A Day's March stores across Stockholm, Oslo and London — each boutique designed as its own expression of the brand, with a bespoke concept and material palette tailored to the character of its city and location. Swedish Project led project management across all four assignments, taking each store from initial brief through to opening day: setting budgets and programmes, procuring and negotiating with contractors and suppliers, running design coordination between the brand's in-house team and local consultants, managing permits and landlord approvals across three markets, driving site meetings and quality control on the ground, and overseeing cost, risk and timeline throughout construction and fit-out. The result is a coherent rollout of locally rooted stores, delivered on time and to a consistently high standard of Swedish quality across borders.
